Fashionable Dresses For Baby VS Comfortable Dresses For Baby

When you set out to buy baby clothing you have to choose between fashionable dresses for baby or comfortable dresses for baby. Of course most parents want to buy fashionable dresses for baby, but they also want their infant to be comfortable, so the parents struggle with their choices.

Fashionable dresses for baby generally have a lot of lace and decorative trim. The lace and decorative trim can scratch the infant or irritate their delicate skin. Comfortably clothing is usually made of cotton materials, has little, to no lace, and fits a little loosely.

Fashionable dresses for baby are tiny little replicas of adult clothing. These items are usually found in boutiques and specialty stores. Comfortable clothing for infants usually consists of sleepers, tee-shirts, and garments made of soft cotton.

An infant cannot express to their parents how uncomfortable their clothing is. They simply fuss and cry when they are uncomfortable. Most of the time the parent finds the baby fussing and they check to see if they need a diaper change. When they discover the diapers are clean and dry they usually decide the baby is hungry and they feed it.

Most of the time the infant will suckle at a bottle even when they are not truly hungry, so when the bottle is offered by the parent the baby drinks it and becomes too full. The infant then has a stomach ache from drinking too much and they cry even more. Sometimes the extra food causes them to vomit because they are so full.

When the child throws up they usually get some of this on their clothing and the parent changes the outfit they were wearing. Once the outfit that was creating the fussy baby is removed the child can sleep comfortably. The parents never realize that their child was merely uncomfortable do to the clothing that they were wearing.

When you dress a baby try to think about what it would be like for you to be lying in that outfit. Think about the items you like to wear to bed and wear when you are lounging around the house. Provide the infant with clothing that will be as comfortable as what you would choose to wear to bed. Rub the material of the outfit against the inner portion of your arm to determine how irritating it could be to the child’s skin. You have to be very careful about these things.
